CHICAGO, Oct. 25, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Relativity, developers of the e-discovery software, today announced H5, Bricker & Eckler, and QDiscovery are the winners of the 2017 Relativity Innovation Awards at Relativity Fest.
The Relativity Innovation Awards are an annual competition celebrating the organizations that build applications and integrations to extend the functionality of Relativity—the platform used by corporations, law firms, and government agencies to manage electronic evidence in litigation, investigations, and beyond. Judges selected solutions that streamline common e-discovery processes, customize Relativity for complex and unique workflows, or create an altogether new solution to business problems beyond traditional e-discovery. Winners were awarded in three categories: Best Innovation: Service Provider, Best Innovation: Law Firm or Corporation, and Best Innovation: Community Choice.
H5 won Best Innovation: Service Provider for Matter Intelligence, an application that provides maximum transparency and engagement with H5's customers through a suite of collaboration and reporting tools. A modern collaboration interface provides a comprehensive view of project tasks, billable services, expected costs, and data center health. Project managers and attorneys can collaborate via a 'feed' showing all case activities, generate, and share reports on the fly, share webs links and attachments, and chat directly within the tool. Matter Intelligence eliminates manual and standalone reporting activities and provides comprehensive visibility to clients on their matters, saving them time and money and helping them be more responsive to their own clients.
In the Best Innovation: Law Firm or Corporation category, Bricker & Eckler won for Land Tracker. The app manages jurisdictional issues related to the construction of an interstate natural gas pipeline. Bricker & Eckler developed a real-time solution in Relativity for tracking and mapping data of thousands of landowners, while integrating visualizations from Google Earth, and incorporating a feature to file suits with the click of a button.
QDiscovery won the Best Innovation: Community Choice award for QMobile Insight, which is allows users to review and produce mobile data in Relativity the same way as other ESI, allowing them to search and analyze mobile data (including emojis) and quickly identify patterns in mobile data sets—which can consist of tens of thousands of texts, call records, and voicemails. QMobile leverages Relativity dashboards and custom views to allow analysis of previously hard-to-handle mobile collections.
Perry Marchant, vice president of engineering at Relativity, and Drew Deitch, senior manager of strategic partnerships at Relativity, announced the winners at the Innovation Awards ceremony at Relativity Fest, the annual legal technology conference held October 22 to 25 in Chicago. Nearly 2000 members of the Relativity community attended the event, where the winners demonstrated their winning innovations during the awards ceremony.
Winners were chosen by a panel of judges that included; Kelly Twigger, CEO of eDiscovery Assistant, Zach Abramowitz, co-founder of ReplyAll and columnist from Above the Law, and Sean Doherty, a former governance, compliance, & e-discovery analyst at 451 Research.
"I'm so excited to congratulate H5, Bricker & Eckler, and QDiscovery as this year's Relativity Innovation Awards winners," said Marchant. "Every year, our community continues to raise the level of creativity, sophistication, and complexity of the Relativity solutions they're building. Our winners this year are solving unique challenges in e-discovery and beyond, and making an impact for our shared customers and end users. We're excited to see what they, and all members of our community, decide to build next."
