NEW YORK, July 2, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Weekly public affairs series GZERO WORLD with Ian Bremmer launches Season 2 nationwide on public television beginning Friday, July 5, 2019 at 11 a.m. ET (check local listings). In New York, GZERO World airs on Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. on THIRTEEN and is available to stream at thirteen.org/gzeroworld.
GZERO World opens the new season with Ian Bremmer's exploration of America's war with Afghanistan, the longest war in American history, and his conversation with former four-star general Stanley McChrystal.
Upcoming episodes take us around the world and include conversations with Harvard astrophysicist Avi Loeb; journalist Sam Dagher; Moises Naím, a syndicated Venezuelan columnist and former editor-in-chief of Foreign Policy magazine; Mike Allen, co-founder and executive editor of Axios; historian Niall Ferguson; Anna Fifield, Beijing bureau chief for the Washington Post; and Anand Giridharadas, former columnist and author of "Winners Take All: The Elite Charade of Changing the World."
Each episode concludes with "Puppet Regime," a political satire series that features puppet versions of Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin, Angela Merkel, Kim Jong-Un, Mark Zuckerberg, Elizabeth Warren, host Ian Bremmer and many others, for a lighter-side look at the stories of the moment.
