Guy Edwards Appointed to Chief Operating Officer, Aggregate Industries US

BEDFORD, Mass., July 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Aggregate Industries US (AIUS), a Holcim Group Company, is pleased to announce that Guy Edwards has been appointed Chief Operating Officer.

Guy Edwards joined Hanson as Quarry Manager in 1988 and has held various operational and commercial managerial roles over the years. In 2006, he assumed the role of Managing Director in a Hanson/Tarmac Joint Venture before being appointed Regional Director South in 2009 and subsequently Director Bardon Aggregates South East for AIUK in 2012. The following year he was promoted to the UK Executive Committee as Director Overseas.

In his new role as Chief Operating Officer, Guy's focus will be strategy implementation and business improvement.  In addition, he will assess the structure, efficiency and performance of the organization. He holds a Bachelor in Engineering from Leeds University, UK.
