Guy E. Griscom Recognized by Strathmore's Who's Who Worldwide Publication

SYOSSET, N.Y., June 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Guy E. Griscom, of Houston, Texas, has been included in the Strathmore's Who's Who Worldwide Edition for his outstanding contributions and achievements in the field of government services.

ABOUT GUY E. GRISCOM

Mr. Griscom has 46 years of experience in government services.  For the past 23 years, he has served as Director of the Appraisal Department with the Harris Count Appraisal District in Houston, Texas.  His responsibilities include setting values on property tax for $1.7 million parcels as well as overseeing the entire department.  He also serves as a Senior Instructor for the Appraisal Foundation, for licensing and setting appraisal standards.  Mr. Griscom received a B.B.A. Degree from the University of Houston in 1972.  He has published various articles, has been featured in IAAO Magazine and has written an Appraisal textbook.  He is a member and Past President of the International Association of Assessing Officers, where he holds the Certified Assessment Evaluator professional designation and is also a member of the Texas Association of Appraisal Districts and the Texas Association of Assessing Officers.  Most recently, Mr. Griscom was appointed as a member of the Appraisal Practices Board of the Appraisal Foundation, beginning in July, 2010.  He is also a Licensed Registered Professional Appraiser by the State of Texas.  Mr. Griscom currently resides in Montgomery County, Texas, with his wife of 44 years, Sheryl.  His hobbies include family outings with his two sons and five grandchildren, fishing, hunting and riding his John Deere tractor.
