The speech is included as part of the UN's 'Ocean Conference'
NEW YORK, June 9, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The inventor of Gululu the interactive water bottle along with its charity partner Generosity.org was invited to speak at the United Nations' "Ocean Conference" held at its headquarter in New York. For every Gululu bottle purchased, Gululu will provide clean water for life to a child in a developing country and that mission is going to extend to small island countries that are the focal point of this conference. On behalf of Gululu, co-founder Mr. Asi Meskin called more organizations with the sense of social responsibility to join the endeavour to help underserved and minor communities with poverty.
According to Generosity.org, Poor sanitation and unclean water are leading causes of child mortality, killing nearly 1,000 children each day. Mr. Meskin stressed that, "Having access to clean water is the first step to breaking the cycle of poverty and Gululu wants to be part of the endeavour. The mission of Gululu is to hydrate the kids of the world extending our mission and partnership with Generosity.org also to the small island developing states participating in this Ocean Conference."
Gululu's and Generosity.org are joining forces to build a water project for an underprivileged community in Peru, hand in hand with an elementary school located in the U.S.. The three-party partnership model merges private sector (Gululu) with public sector (Generosity) to connect the developed world (elementary schools in US) with the developing world communities.
Mr. Philip Wagner, the founder and CEO of Generosity.org added, "Our partnership with Gululu has been a strategic one. Being able to serve as the connector between children in the developed world using the Gululu product and children in the developing world benefitting from the product through the provision of access to clean water has been eye opening. The potential that partnerships like this one have are incredible. Our role at the end of the day is to work towards bringing the number of people living without access to clean water down from 663 million. That's why we do what we do."
