GuildMaster CEO Steve Crowder embarked on a much-publicized 15,000 mile journey across the U.S. last year to meet with over 200 individual dealers. One of the most significant things he kept hearing was the need for highly differentiated inventory that could be shipped immediately, not in weeks or months. In response, his team put together a Quick Ship Catalog of hundreds of the company's best-selling SKU's in accent furniture, accessories, lighting and wall art with the commitment to stocking $2 million worth of on-hand inventory in their Springfield, MO warehouse that could ship out within 48 hours. Now they are adding to that commitment with dedicated Quick Ship Showrooms in addition to their current space in Dallas, Las Vegas and High Point.

"Total U.S. retailer inventory levels were down double digits in 2009 as they tightened up to weather the storm," says Crowder.
