Guggenheim Securities Hires Consumer Analyst Howard Tubin

NEW YORK, Dec. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Guggenheim Securities, the investment banking and capital markets division of Guggenheim Partners, today announced that Howard Tubin has joined its New York research team as a Director and Senior Equity Analyst covering consumer softlines.

Mr. Tubin's hiring expands Guggenheim's footprint in consumer research, where industry veteran John Heinbockel has been following retail and consumer since 2010, with an emphasis on food and drug retailing.

Mr. Tubin was most recently a Senior Analyst at RBC Capital Markets, where he covered apparel retailers/wholesalers and footwear companies since 2006. He held previous retail research roles at Cathay Financial, UBS, PaineWebber, and Schroder & Co. The Wall Street Journal, in its 2011 "Best on the Street" survey, recognized Mr. Tubin as the No. 1 analyst in his sector.

He graduated with a B.A. in Economics from Clark University and earned his MBA at Rutgers University.
