Guggenheim Partners Commences Operations in Japan

TOKYO, Feb. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Guggenheim Partners, a global investment and advisory firm, announced today that its Japan-based subsidiary, Guggenheim Partners Japan, Ltd. ("GPJL"), has received its Type-1 and Type-2 Financial Instruments Business and Investment Advisory and Agency licenses from the Kanto Financial Bureau, the local regulatory authority, effective on February 16, 2015.

Guggenheim Partners initially established a representative office in Japan in 2014. GPJL's office is located in Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.

Guggenheim Partners Japan, Ltd. is a regulated entity licensed to conduct Type-1 and Type-2 Financial Instruments Business and Investment Advisory and Agency Business in Japan. The Type-1 Financial Instruments Business license covers GPJL's intermediary business with liquid securities, and Type-2 covers business with illiquid securities, such as fund-related products.
