Guernsey's Retains Rubenstein Public Relations to Represent Two Unique Auctions
"Iconic Objects Auction" and "Carousel Auction" Set For September 24 and 25 in NYC
NEW YORK, Aug. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Guernsey's (http://www.guernseys.com), the three-decade-old auction house, has retained Rubenstein Public Relations to represent two unique auctions at New York City's Park Avenue Armory on September 24 and 25, announced Richard Rubenstein, president of Rubenstein Public Relations (http://www.rubensteinpr.com).
On September 24, Guernsey's will host an "Iconic Objects Auction" of significant items (that relate to a person or event that impacted our nation's culture or history. The lots include the only-known recordings of 26 speeches presented by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., formerly top-secret plans for the D-Day invasion, and the Maltese Falcon statuette from the classic film.
On the following day, September 25, Guernsey's will auction an impressive collection of vintage carousel horses and menagerie figures. In 1983, Guernsey's held the first-ever "Carousel Auction," helping to cement the inherent value of these beautiful figures. This will be the first major auction of rare, authentic carousel carvings in 15 years.
Rubenstein Public Relations is scheduling appointments with journalists to preview select lots in an effort to generate regional, national and international coverage in advance of the auctions and attract bidders. The agency is also arranging for television crews to broadcast live from the Park Avenue Armory during the auctions. Follow up coverage will focus on large-ticket and other noteworthy sales from the two auctions.
Rubenstein Public Relations has represented Guernsey's in past auctions, including those pertaining to Tavern on the Green, John F. Kennedy, Elvis Presley, the Jackson Family, Jerry Garcia, John Coltrane, Mickey Mantle and Rosa Parks. For more information visit www.guernseys.com.
