Gruber Hurst Johansen Hail Shank Attorneys Elected as Legal Leaders in Dallas
Firm now has four Directors on Dallas Bar Association Board
DALLAS, Jan. 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Four attorneys from the Dallas-based law firm Gruber Hurst Johansen Hail Shank LLP have been named to high-ranking leadership roles for several professional legal associations in Dallas.
Firm partner Michael K. Hurst has been elected as Second Vice President of the Dallas Bar Association, serving as one of only six officers for the 11,000 member organization. In addition, fellow firm partner A. Shonn Brown has been elected as a DBA Director, and she will serve a third term on the DBA Board after previously serving as both a Director and Secretary-Treasurer.
Firm partner Jonathan R. Childers has been elected as President of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers, a 3,000-member organization focused on meeting the professional needs of young lawyers and serving the entire Dallas community through a variety of service projects.
Firm associate Bill S. Richmond has been elected as President of the Dallas Asian American Bar Association. The 200-member organization, formed in 1988, is one of three minority organizations affiliated with the Dallas Bar Association and is one of the fastest-growing legal associations in Texas.
As a result of their positions, Mr. Childers and Mr. Richmond also will serve as DBA directors, giving the firm a total of four directors on the Board of one of the oldest and most respected lawyer groups in the nation.
