Grownetics and Shift Cannabis Partner to Lead Innovation in Cannabis Cultivation
BOULDER, Colo., Sept. 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Grownetics and Shift Cannabis, leaders in the Colorado cannabis industry, have announced a partnership to permanently change the landscape of indoor cultivation. Shift Cannabis, a leading consulting firm focusing on boutique cannabis cultivators and retailers, will be incorporating the Grownetics system into their own R&D facilities, and recommending their clients do the same.
"I'm proud to announce the partnership between Shift Cannabis and Grownetics and excited for our first project together, the Dalwhinnie Ranch," said Travis Howard, Shift Cannabis' CEO. "I have known Eli and the Grownetics team since they launched and have been extremely impressed with their progress. Grownetics is set to be the most innovate ag tech company on the market."
The Dalwhinnie Ranch is an impressive 30,000 square foot luxury facility in Ridgway, CO. "Dalwhinnie is poised to be one of the most unique and advanced indoor cultivation facilities in the world; not just in cannabis, but in indoor agriculture as a whole," says Howard. The partnership and initial project is in line with a recent trend in cannabis towards highly automated, efficient cultivation systems and a focus on technology. Dalwhinnie Ranch, when completed, will be a showcase facility and a model for indoor agriculture.
Eli Duffy, Grownetics CEO, echoed Howard's enthusiasm around the partnership: "We have been wanting to work with Travis and Shift Cannabis for some time now, as they are extremely knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of cannabis cultivation. I have toured their facilities and believe that they are producing some of the highest quality cannabis in the country."
Grownetics is a fast-moving startup, breaking $400,000 within their first year of incorporating and projecting to break $1 million by January, attracting attention from top tech investors from around the country. Grownetics is currently developing machine-learning algorithms based on the massive amounts of data they collect from cultivators. Within the next year, this revolutionary technology will bring artificial intelligence to the work of agriculture technology and cannabis cultivation. "We are thrilled to partner with Shift Cannabis, to develop the most advanced agriculture technology facilities in the world and to push the boundaries of what is possible within agriculture, technology, and artificial intelligence," says Duffy.
Duffy will be speaking next week at the Cann10 Medical Marijuana Conference in Tel Aviv on how cannabis is innovating technology in agriculture.
