WHAT: The event will focus on three key areas: education, youth, and women's issues. Expected areas of intense focus include this year's controversial mass teacher firings as well as the implications of new teacher contracts on anticipated educational performance, educational outcomes among DC students, the District's summer jobs program, juvenile justice, and various issues around women's economic security, safety and overall well-being in the District of Columbia.
