Group K Diagnostics is the Technology Category Winner in the 2018 Stellar Startup Awards
PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 17, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Group K Diagnostics has been recognized for its disruptive point-of-care solution as the winner of the technology category in the 2018 Stellar Startup Awards.
Created by the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Awards are in the third year of honoring innovative companies. The winners were announced at an awards gala sponsored by MassMutual Greater Philadelphia on Thursday, September 13.
"We appreciate the honor of winning, and the chance to let the public know about our product's technology and the purpose of our products," said Brianna Wronko, founder and CEO of Group K Diagnostics. "The MultiDiagnostic has the capability to change way diagnostics are seen today, allowing fast results and customized treatment plans," Wronko continued.
The MultiDiagnostic is easy-to-use, consisting of a test strip and a suite of software. Clinicians will determine test results in 20 minutes or less and avoid the costs, time, and risks associated with sending samples to an off-site laboratory. Obtaining quantitative, evidence-based results at the point of care enables clinicians to develop more informed care plans, improving overall quality of care.
In addition to Group K's image processing algorithm, the software suite includes a number of valuable features, such as epidemic tracking, inter-hospital record keeping, and a patient portal.
