Ground Labs to Showcase Data Security Solutions at HITEC 2015
AUSTIN, Texas, June 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The accommodation industry was the most targeted industry of 2015 by hackers, with a cumulative 368 confirmed data security incidents. Given the high volume of sensitive data passing through a hotel on a day-to-day basis, it has become the top priority of many hotels to ensure that their sensitive data does not fall into the wrong hands.
The Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition & Conference (HITEC) provides an excellent forum for hoteliers to learn about the latest threats and how to defend against them. At this year's HITEC 2015 event, accommodation industry professionals will meet with data security experts from around the world for knowledge sharing and plenary sessions.
One of this year's exhibitors is Ground Labs, a data security software organisation that helps businesses protect the kind of data that hotels handle daily, such as driver's license information, credit card records, passport numbers, and other types of PII.
Ground Labs' Director of Corporate Development, Stephen Cavey, believes that HITEC is a prime venue to showcase his company's software. "Ground Labs has designed its products specifically to combat the threat of data breaches that hotels face every day. We aim to assist organisations like hotels and other supporting bodies to mitigate the risk of suffering a sensitive data breach."
At the event, Ground Labs will be providing live demos of their latest software, Enterprise Recon 2, which is capable of searching entire networks for sensitive data that could pose as security risks.
HITEC 2015 will be held from June 15-18 at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas. For more information, visit the HITEC 2015 official website here.
