GridWeek 2011: To Shed Light on the Future of Smart Grid
WASHINGTON, June 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- GridWeek 2011 conference planning heated up last week with more than 30 partners and sponsors finalizing the conference agenda, and with nearly 200 participants joining the first pre-conference webinar: "The Way Forward for Smart Grid." GridWeek 2011 will take place from Sept. 12-15 in Washington, D.C.
Now in its fifth year, GridWeek will gather a rich diversity of Smart Grid stakeholders to explore the Way Forward, focusing on energy business, policy and solutions. Three core themes will drive conference dialogue:
- Looking Forward - Exploring the economic, societal and environmental future, where today's strategic plans will come to life.
- Strategic Solutions - Defining technology drivers that will guide grid-modernization solution strategies for years ahead.
- State of Deployments - Portraying the state of deployment progress in utility-rich panel sessions.
"GridWeek 2011 will provide the 'binoculars' Smart Grid stakeholders need to look into the future of energy and understand the actions needed for continued grid evolution," said Anto Budiardjo, President, Clasma Events. "With more partners joining our advisory board, we're confident that this year's event will provide the most relevant content to attendees."
