Greyhound Temporarily Suspends Service In Parts Of Florida Due To Hurricane Irma

DALLAS, Sept. 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Greyhound today announced it will suspend service along certain routes in Florida due to Hurricane Irma. All northbound schedules out of Miami will continue to run until 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 9, after which service will be suspended through Monday or until further notice. Service operating south of I-10 toward Miami has been cancelled.

"Because safety is the cornerstone of our business, we take extreme caution when severe weather strikes and will temporarily suspend service until it is safe to travel again," said Evan Burak, regional vice president, Greyhound Lines, Inc. "Greyhound is continuously monitoring the National Weather Service reports and working with local authorities to assess the latest conditions and determine when and where it safe to get back on the road."

The following routes will no longer have service beginning at 12:01 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9:

Jacksonville - Miami
Jacksonville - Orlando - Miami
Tallahassee - Orlando - Miami
Tallahassee - Tampa
Atlanta - Savannah

Customers are encouraged to check BusTracker.Greyhound.com or the Travel Alert tab on Greyhound.com to see how their specific schedule may be impacted. If a customer's schedule is affected, they may rebook or refund their tickets at no additional charge by calling 1-877-801-3096.
