Mr. Scott is an attorney with, and one of the founding partners of the practice of Scott & Scott, P.C. He brings over 39 years of legal experience, as well as expertise in family law, to his role.

He has also served on the ISBA Judicial Evaluation Committee – Outside Cook, including as Chairman of the Committee. He is also a member of the Sangamon County Bar Association, and has previously served as President, Vice President and Treasurer. Mr. Scott is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML) and previously served as a member of the Board for the Illinois Chapter of the AAML. He is admitted to practice with the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois and is a member of the American Inns of Court, Lincoln-Douglas Chapter.

Mr. Scott has served hos community as an advisor and board member on various charitable and religious organizations. He has frequently lectured in the area of family law for the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education, Illinois State Bar Association, and the National Business Institute.
