GreenTech Automotive Hires Auto Industry Veteran Richard Xiaoyun Li as Senior Vice President of China Operations
Industry veteran brings vast experience in corporate strategic development and business expansion
MCLEAN, Va., Feb. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- GreenTech Automotive (GTA), a U.S. automotive manufacturer dedicated to developing and producing environmentally friendly, energy-efficient vehicles, announced today that Richard Xiaoyun Li has joined the company as senior vice president. GTA also announced that it will establish a subsidiary in China and Mr. Li will also hold the position of Executive Vice President of the company's future subsidiary in China.

Mr. Li joined GTA after more than a decade at Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, a global Fortune 500 company where Mr. Li was involved in the development, engineering, manufacturing, marketing and sales of passenger vehicles in China. While at Geely, Mr. Li successfully led the company's high-profile acquisition of Volvo in 2010, the acquisition of Shanghai Jmstar Company in 2001, and a series of cooperative efforts between Geely and Brilliance China Automobile and Hainan Mazda Motor. He was also instrumental in establishing Shangdong Jinan Geely EC8 Factory, Jining Transmission Co., Daqing Volvo Automotive Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Zhangjakou Volvo Engine Manufacturing Plant and the Chengdu Volvo Automotive Manufacturing Co., Ltd.

Mr. Li received an EMBA from Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management in Beijing and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the China University of Geosciences.
