Greenstar Recycling is New Official Partner and Jersey Sponsor of Houston Dynamo
HOUSTON, Dec. 9, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Greenstar Recycling (http://www.GreenstarRecycling.com), a leading recycler in North America, announced that it is the new official partner and jersey sponsor of the Houston Dynamo. The agreement includes exclusive and official jersey naming rights, the first founding partnership in the new Dynamo stadium and designation as the Official Recycling Partner of the Dynamo. The Greenstar Recycling logo will be featured on Dynamo game jerseys and all team apparel, beginning in the 2011 season and carrying at least through the 2013 season.
"Greenstar has partnered with the Dynamo to give recycling a new kick in Houston and highlight the importance of recycling in creating a sustainable environment for us all," said Matt Delnick, CEO of Greenstar. "We are thrilled to be the Official Partner of the Dynamo and are committed to making the Dynamo the greenest team in the league."
Greenstar Recycling will figure prominently in making the Dynamo's new stadium, set to open in 2012, one of the most environmentally friendly and sustainable venues in the United States. Greenstar will manage all recycling and waste management services for the new stadium, reducing the impact and cost of disposal, as well as maximizing the environmental benefits of recycling. Greenstar was recently the first recycler in Houston to offer single stream recycling– an important innovation for the new stadium that will allow participants to combine all recyclables into one bin – greatly increasing recycling participation and convenience for the community and fans.
Greenstar is also title sponsor of the Dynamo's annual Corporate Cup tournament.
"We're extremely excited to welcome Greenstar Recycling to the Dynamo family," team president Chris Canetti said. "There is an intimate and unique connection between a jersey sponsor, a soccer club, and its fans. We look forward to building that connection over the years and making Greenstar a central part of our club and brand."
The Dynamo also unveiled their new jerseys for the 2011 season, bearing the Greenstar logo. Photos and a description of the new jerseys are available at HoustonDynamo.com.
