Greenspoon Marder Announces Further Expansion of Entertainment Law Practice Group With New Shareholder Kerry Smith in New York
NEW YORK, Jan. 9, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Greenspoon Marder is pleased to announce that Kerry Smith has joined the firm as a shareholder. She will be the Team Chair of Greenspoon Marder's Entertainment Law Practice Group, Television and Film Group in New York, a crucial market for clients in the film, music, television and new media sectors.
Ms. Smith is regularly sought after in representing Emmy Award winning television production companies, including Don Mischer Productions, Done + Dusted, and Show Shop, who produce variety programming; news programs; talk formats; game shows; live events; television specials; and television awards shows. Ms. Smith has stewarded the production legal work on the Primetime Emmys, Billboard's Women In Music, The Kennedy Center Honors, Jazz at The White House, Super Bowl Halftime Shows, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Taking The Stage: African American Music and Stories that changed America and The Tony Awards. She also represents individual writers, directors, producers and on-air talent within the industry.

Prior to obtaining her law degree, Ms. Smith was a television agent at Artists Agency in New York and later was the Director of Business Affairs at ABC Entertainment. Earlier in her career, Smith had her own Entertainment Law practice for nine years before joining Shukat Arrow Hafer Weber & Herbsman LLP as special counsel in 2010, to launch the firm's television and film practice group.
