GREENGUARD Announces New Manager of Science and Standards

Manager to oversee development of GREENGUARD standards, scientific processes, and technical programs

ATLANTA, Sept. 7 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The GREENGUARD Environmental Institute is pleased to announce the appointment of Brian Englert as Manager of Science and Standards.  In this role, Englert oversees all of GREENGUARD's technical programs, including standard development.

Englert brings over a decade of experience in environmental science to GREENGUARD.  He comes to Atlanta from Washington, D.C., where he served as a scientist at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for over four years.  In that role, he worked on issues related to the Code of Federal Regulations, managed laboratory studies, and helped develop test methods for use in real-world scenarios.

Prior to his work at the EPA, Englert was a post doc and subcontractor for a major NASA research project, a research assistant at the Georgia Institute of Technology, and  organic laboratory instructor at the University of South Carolina.  He also served in the U.S. Air Force.  Englert holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Georgia Tech and a B.S. in Environmental Health Science with a minor in chemistry from Western Carolina University.
