Greenberg Traurig's Terence McCourt to Speak on Defending Against FMLA and ADA Claims
BOSTON, July 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Terence P. McCourt, a shareholder in the Boston office of the international law firm Greenberg Traurig LLP, will speak at the American Conference Institute's (ACI) Third Annual Forum on Defending and Managing Employment Discrimination Litigation, to be held on July 30-31 in New York City. McCourt will speak on a panel entitled "Disability and Leave of Absence: Defending Against FMLA and ADA Claims" on Monday, July 30, 2012.
McCourt, who practices in the firm's Labor & Employment group, will speak about amendments to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and applying the new law. He will also discuss Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) regulations, the EEOC's continued emphasis on ADA litigation, and determining whether an employee has a disability covered by ADA. Further, McCourt will address how to navigate the "interactive process" in responding to requests for "reasonable accommodation."

McCourt is Chairman of Greenberg Traurig's Boston office's Labor & Employment group, and concentrates his practice on labor and employment litigation and counseling.
