Green Field Energy Services Deploys Third New Hydraulic Fracturing Spread
LAFAYETTE, La., July 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Green Field Energy Services, Inc. (CUSIP: 39304KAA4), announces the deployment of a second turbine-driven hydraulic fracturing spread for Shell in the Eagle Ford Shale, marking the 3rd fracturing spread in operation, with a total of 118,000 hydraulic horsepower (HHP) of Turbine-Driven Frac Pumps. Green Field President Rick Fontova stated, "Green Field is proud to deliver our second spread of turbine-driven fracturing pumps to Shell. Working closely together, we have achieved outstanding results thus far and the operational performance has exceeded our expectations."
Green Field's turbine-driven pumps substantially reduce emissions by 87% when operating on #2 diesel fuel, and are engineered to operate on multiple fuel sources, including natural gas. The ability to perform pressure pumping services while running on natural gas, without sacrificing rates or efficiencies, is a primary focus of Green Field's business model and competitive advantage.
Green Field's second spread for Shell will consist of 16 Turbine-Driven Frac Pumps, totaling 38,400 HHP, and will operate in the Eagle Ford Shale near Carrizo Springs, Texas. To assist with operations in South Texas, Green Field has opened a satellite district, with plans to create a permanent operations base in 2012.
