Green Earth Technologies Speeds up the Environmental Movement with Dyson Racing at the American Le Mans Series at Long Beach
Running on G-OIL, Dyson Racing is leading the ALMS Championship Series After a Second Place Finish
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., April 18, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Green Earth Technologies (OTCBB: GETG) is pleased to announce that Dyson Racing, which runs their car on environment-safe oil, G-OIL®, finished second overall in the LMP1 class at the American Le Mans Series at Long Beach this past weekend. The duo of Chris Dyson and Guy Smith qualified the #16 G-OIL/ModSpace /Construct Corps Mazda Lola and took the #1 Pole Position on Friday, April 15th with a sub 1:14 lap. Dyson Racing capped off their Long Beach weekend with a second place finish, the best finish at Long Beach for the team and culminated the weekend with the LMP1 points lead.
Over the weekend, Dyson Racing also hosted students from Long Beach City College's Advanced Transportation Technology program to talk about alternative fuels and auto technology. Students chose to visit with the team because Dyson Racing is billed as the "greenest car in the paddock" by virtue of its use of isobutanol and G-OIL.
"It has been an absolute pleasure to be associated with Dyson Racing which has taken green racing to a new level," said Jeffrey Loch, President of Green Earth Technologies. "As we begin Earth Week, we are happy to convey a message of superior 'green' performance, because if an ALMS race car can succeed on G-OIL, your car can run on it too."
The Dyson Racing car runs on G-OIL a blend of nature's American grown base oils made right here on American soil, making it possible to reduce dependency on foreign oil and off-shore drilling. G-OIL is not a re-refined or a recycled oil, but a bio-based FULL SYNTHETIC motor oil that provides superior performance and protection during the maximum oil change intervals recommended by vehicle manufacturers.
"I am absolutely thrilled with the performance of the team and the statement we are making by racing with G-OIL, proving that racing green is now synonymous with high performance," Chris Dyson said. "We are heading into the second half of the season with great momentum, ready to come first to the finish line with G-OIL."
The American Le Mans series takes their annual Le Mans break with the next race at Dyson Racing's home track, Lime Rock CT on July 9.
