Green Cures & Botanical Distribution Inc provides corporate update

WINNETKA, Calif., July 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Green Cures & Botanical Distribution Inc (OTC Pink: GRCU) ("Green Cures") provided the following updates.

CBD Capsules

First, Green Cures management announced that due to higher than expected demand for the company's CBD Capsules, Green Cures is presently experiencing a shortage of inventory of these capsules. Customers who had open orders for the CBD Capsules as of July 15, 2014, are currently being notified that the company is in the process of issuing to each one of them a full refund, together with, a $40.00 discount code which they will be able to use in their next order. Green Cures management regrets the delay in filling the orders, and is working to notify customers.

Additionally, Green Cures management announced that due to the recent surge in demand for CBD-derived and -related products, which has resulted in an overall shortage of premium cannabis-raw material, the high quality and consistent CBD products that Green Cures seeks to provide to its customers cannot be produced immediately.  Management confirmed, however, that Green Cures continues to work diligently with national-based contractors who have both the technology and knowledge to assist Green Cures in producing additional CBD Capsules and high quality CBD-derived products, which will be available to the public in the upcoming weeks. 

e-Commerce Platform

Second, as previously announced on July 1^st 2014, Green Cures continues to work on the development of its second e-commerce platform and website which will be dedicated to bringing to the public and the market numerous CBD-derived products.  Management anticipates that this website also will provide to the public and the consumers information about the company's products, including the process of manufacturing and products potency reports. The company also plans to offer additional CBD-derived products from different manufacturers that will not be in direct competition with the company's products.

Product Reviewing and Testing

Green Cures management also announced that as of the date of this press release, Green Cures has shipped numerous products overseas to different retailers, who are currently reviewing and testing the products, as well as verifying with their respective Government entities whether or not our products can be sold and distributed in their countries.  

Additional Updates

Management of Green Cures announced that it is in the process of improving both Green Cures' customer service department and its inventory tracking system to provide to the public and the online community a better shopping experience.  Management is also working on completing Green Cures' quarterly financial report which is due on or before August 14 2014. The company expects to have completed this report prior to the end of July and to upload it to the OTC Markets Website.

Green Cures, with the assistance of its professional advisors, also continues to pursue registration of all of the previously announced brands and related intellectual property with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Additional updates regarding the numerous applications for trademark will be provided to the public and the investment community as soon as final resolutions become available.

In connection with the announcement on May 16, 2014, management is pleased to announce that Green Cures plans to introduce the company's first hemp-infused energy drink during the third quarter. The company has decided to brand its first energy drink "Rico Suave," for which an application has been submitted to the USPTO by the company with the intent to use.  Management believes that the addition of this new brand will allow for broader marketing and advertising opportunities to attract different markets and consumers within the functional beverage industry.

Finally, as previously announced, in connection with retail outlets and points of distribution of the company's products, management confirmed that Green Cures is also in the process of developing and completing 3 informational websites about the company's products and exclusively licensed brands, these websites are as follow: greenmagic.la, greencures.la, and ricosuave.la. Management anticipates that these websites will contain information about points of distribution which the company has started setting up beginning July 2014.
