Green Charge Networks' Intelligent Energy Storage Solution Named As Finalist In 2015 American Business Awards(SM)
SANTA CLARA, Calif., May 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Green Charge Networks' intelligent energy storage solution was named a Finalist today in the Energy Industry Innovation of the Year category in the 2015 American Business Awards. Energy Industry Innovation of the Year is a new category for 2015. This category recognizes singular innovations in energy-related technology, production, conservation, storage or delivery, by an organization in the U.S.A.
"Green Charge is grateful that the American Business Awards is recognizing intelligent energy storage," said Vic Shao, CEO at Green Charge. "2015 is poised to be a breakthrough year as more and more organizations will look to energy storage to make a real difference in reducing carbon emissions by revolutionizing the way energy is distributed."
According to Navigant Research, the five-year projected growth in energy storage is expected to be 45 percent vs. solar at 1.7 percent. Green Charge empowers businesses to better control their energy use and reduce their monthly electric costs. The core technology is sophisticated cloud-based software that monitors and controls energy loads on a second-by-second basis. The result is a more efficient utilization of infrastructure assets already in place, such as transformers and feeder cables, by smoothing out the peaks and valleys of energy usage.
The American Business Awards are considered the nation's preeminent business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small.
The American Business Awards will be presented at two awards events: the ABA's traditional banquet on Monday, June 22 in Chicago and the new product & technology awards event on Friday, September 11 in San Francisco.
Finalists were chosen by scores of business professionals nationwide during first-round judging in April and May. Members of several specialized judging committees will determine Stevie Award placements from among the Finalists during final judging, to take place later this month.
"So many fascinating and inspiring stories of success were submitted to the ABAs this year," said Stevie Awards president and founder Michael Gallagher. "We congratulate all of our 2015 Finalists on their achievements."
