Green Car Journal and The Washington Auto Show Announce Finalists for 2019 Connected Green Car of the Year™ and Green Car Technology of the Year™
WASHINGTON, March 7, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Green Car Journal, recognized as the industry authority on 'green' cars since 1992, has announced finalists for its 2019 Connected Green Car of the Year™ and Green Car Technology of the Year™. These high-profile awards recognize advanced vehicles and technology achievements today that promise to influence the future of automobiles. Winners will be identified at a Green Car Awards™ press conference on April 4 at The Washington Auto Show in Washington, D.C.
Finalists for 2019 Connected Green Car of the Year™ are the Audi e-tron, Nissan LEAF, Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid, Tesla Model 3, and Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. The field includes three battery electric vehicles, one hybrid, and one plug-in hybrid.
Advanced technologies vying for 2019 Green Car Technology of the Year™ focus on efficient internal combustion, electrification, and alternative fuels. Candidates include Chevrolet Dynamic Fuel Management, Hyundai Nexo Fuel Cell Powertrain, Nissan VC-Turbo Engine, Mitsubishi PHEV Powertrain, and RAM eTorque.

The 2019 Washington Auto Show opens to the public on Friday, April 5, and will remain open every day through Sunday, April 14. It is one of the five top auto shows in the United States and is the largest indoor consumer event in the District of Columbia. The show is being held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, where more than 35 automakers will display over 600 vehicles.
