With this acquisition, the two organizations will join forces to make an even greater impact on the pet industry across North America. The FamilyPet network includes flash sale site Coupaw.com, knowledge center FamilyPet.com and Petsitting.com, a popular website that helps customers find the pet care services they need from qualified providers.
"We are thrilled to announce the acquisition of our company by GreaterGood, as it will merge two organizations doing important work to transform the pet industry and improve the lives of animals both across the country and around the world," said Jared Katz, president and co-founder of FamilyPet. "We will now have the ability to streamline the products and services we both offer, as well as provide greater service and prices to our customers. This is truly exciting news for both us and the pet owners who leverage our services."
GreaterGood, which operates a vast network of Click to Give™ sites including The Animal Rescue Site™, will now offer its customers access to FamilyPet's popular web platforms. GreaterGood recently surpassed $30 million in lifetime charitable giving, and will help FamilyPet give more to local and national animal shelters. In addition, customers will have greater access to pet supplies and pet-themed home goods, to help them enjoy time spent with their pets.
"We have an existing network of generous customers who support impactful campaigns through our Click to Give sites as well as through our Gifts that Give More™ and online retail sites," says GreaterGood CEO Tim Kunin. "We look forward to expanding our reach in the communities in which we operate as well as providing our existing customers with a wider variety of products and ways to give back."
With Petsitting.com, GreaterGood now has access to an elite network of pet care providers, allowing the organization to help customers easily find the very best doggy daycares, dog walkers, pet boarders, groomers and various other service providers in North America. In addition, FamilyPet.com serves as a knowledge center for people to find relevant information related to the life cycle of their family pets, including tips from veterinarians, breaking news, product recalls, viral videos and popular photos.
"Now more than ever, people are concerned with the products and services they purchase for their pets, and for good reason," said Katz. "Pet owners now have access to a true one-stop-shop for everything they need to provide the best care possible for their furry friends."
