HOUSTON, Oct. 24, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Please join representatives from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) and Comerica Bank at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 29, 2014, as they present a $29,000 Partnership Grant Program (PGP) award to the Greater Houston Black Chamber Foundation.

An extension of the Greater Houston Black Chamber, the Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit that works to provide opportunities for members, aspiring entrepreneurs, professionals, and students. The PGP funds will be used to build capacity through the hiring of administrative volunteers and interns, generating new opportunities for revenue through grants and sponsorships, and the purchase of fundraising software. FHLB Dallas awarded $225,000 in grants through its PGP this year. The grants provide funding for the operational needs of community-based organizations involved in affordable housing and community development.
