Greater Boston Association of REALTORS® Installs 2014 Officers & Directors
BOSTON, Jan. 8, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Greater Boston Association of REALTORS® (GBAR), a division of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board, recently installed its elected officers and directors for 2014 during ceremonies conducted on December 16th at the Boston University School of Management in the BU Trustee Ballroom.
Elected by the directors of the association, the 17 member board is responsible for establishing and enforcing the organization's bylaws and membership policies; approving an annual budget as well as programming initiatives to implement the association's strategic plan; and delivering industry information and feedback to and from REALTORS® and the association. As association ambassadors, the officers and directors also will be called upon to act as spokespersons and advocates for the real estate profession, housing industry, and REALTOR® public policy agenda.
The 2014 GBAR officers are: President Michael DiMella, of Charlesgate Realty Group in Boston; President-elect David McCarthy, of Keller Williams Realty in Boston; Vice President Robert J. Harrington, of The Nexum Group in Framingham; Treasurer Andrew Sarno, of RE/MAX Andrew Realty Services in Medford; and Immediate Past President Susan McDonough, of William Raveis Real Estate in Wellesley. This year's association directors are: Jason Gell, of Boston's Luxury Properties in Boston; Gregory Kiely of Century 21 Commonwealth in Newton Highlands; Gail Lockberg, of Prudential Town & Country Real Estate in Wellesley; Todd Movsessian, of Hammond Residential Real Estate in Belmont; Norman O'Grady, of Prime Realty Group in Brighton; Marie Presti, of Realty Executives Esteemed Properties in Newton; Larry Rideout, of Gibson Sotheby's International Realty in Boston; Joanne Taranto, of Gibson Sotheby's International Realty in Weston; Janis Urbanek of Gibson Sotheby's International Realty in Westwood, Neda Vander Stoep of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Boston; Jared Wilk of Benoit, Mizner, Simon & Co. in Wellesley; and Paul Yorkis, of Patriot Real Estate in Medway.
