Great Place to Work® Launches "We LOVE Our Workplace Video" Contest
Companies Invited to Share Videos that Celebrate Workplace Culture
SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 14, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Great Place to Work is asking companies to show off their workplace cultures in the 2013 "We LOVE Our Workplace Video" Contest, part of the Great Place to Work Conference. Sponsored by NetApp, the video contest awards the Grand Prize winning company with a $5000 donation to the company's charity of choice.
Running through March 29, the contest asks participants to submit videos that show their workplace culture in action. Companies are welcome to submit existing materials including recruiting, training, communications, and employee-made videos. Full participation details are available on the contest website.
"Great workplaces are using video to communicate and celebrate inside their organizations," said Great Place to Work CEO Susan Lucas Conwell. "This contest invites companies to share a little bit of their workplace culture with our extended community."
The contest is open to US-based companies with more than 25 employees. Five Finalists will have their videos featured at the Great Place to Work Conference where attendees will vote on the Grand Prize winner. Two finalists will have received the most popular votes online, and three will have the highest scores from Great Place to Work judges, evaluating videos on originality, workplace pride, and camaraderie.
Held in conjunction with the Great Place to Work Conference, a national gathering of senior executives who believe workplace culture is critical to business success. One thousand workplace leaders are expected to gather in Los Angeles, CA, April 17 – 18, 2013 to hear from noted CEOs.
Last year's contest generated 104 entries, including amusing internal communications vehicles, recruiting videos that emphasized companies' values, and several employee-generated submissions. The variety of finalists demonstrates that great workplace cultures come in all shapes and sizes and can be expressed in diverse and unusual ways. Videos from last year's finalists can be viewed on Great Place to Work's YouTube Channel.
