SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Global workplace consulting firm, Great Place to Work®, revealed today the 2013 Best Small & Medium Workplaces list, published by FORTUNE magazine. The past two years' lists have seen record participation. Great Place to Work attributes the increase to the value companies see in getting recognized for their company culture.
"Increasingly, companies of all sizes are seeing the importance of differentiating themselves in the hypercompetitive talent market through their culture," said Great Place to Work CEO, China Gorman. "Savvy companies rely on the strength of their workplace cultures to attract candidates who share their vision and values to build a workforce invested in the same outcomes." Gorman explains: "While getting recognition like this is an important part of these companies' employer brands, which is a critical recruiting strategy, being a great workplace is also built into the fabric of these organizations, it's who they are, how they conduct their business and how they treat their people."
In addition to earning a spot on the Great Place to Work list, winning companies also received a profile on Great Rated!™, a new online resource for jobseekers powered by the Great Place to Work© Model for its rankings and reviews.
