Great America Celebrates 15th Annual Pride Night May 23
E! Star Ross Mathews & Platinum Recording Artists Karmin Highlight Stage Shows
DJ Luis Perez, DWV, Neon Hitch & Bay Area Drag Queen Pollo Del Mar To Also Perform
SANTA CLARA, Calif., April 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- California's Great America will celebrate the 15th anniversary of Pride Night on Friday, May 23, kicking off Pride Month for the Bay Area. Debuting 15 years ago as an evening for the gay community, Pride Night is now an all-inclusive celebration for the entire LGBT community. Pride Night's 15th anniversary will deliver performances from world-class entertainers on multiple stages.
Pop duo Karmin, which has struck platinum and recorded two #1 dance hits, including Brokenhearted and Hello, will rock the main stage. Igniting the blogosphere in 2011, Karmin's Amy Heidemann and Nick Noonan posted a cover of Chris Brown's "Look At Me Now" on YouTube that went viral. The duo's sound of catchy hooks and crazy rap verses is "a new sound — we like to call it 'swag-pop." The duo has performed on national television for Ellen DeGeneres and Saturday Night Live.
E! network star Ross Mathews, star of the hit show Hello Ross will serve as Master of Ceremonies. Mathews, the former Tonight Show with Jay Leno intern, is also the best-selling author of Man Up: Tales of My Delusional Self-Confidence.
"We are proud to have hosted Pride Night for 15 years, an event that has become a tradition in the Bay Area, and is reflective of its diversity," said California's Great America Vice President and General Manager Raul Rehnborg.
This year's star-studded lineup also includes British pop star Neon Hitch, drag queen pop group DWV (Detox, Willam, Vicky Vox), DJ Luis Perez, and Bay Area drag queen Pollo Del Mar.
