GRC Hires Director Of Competition
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Global Rallycross Championship (GRC) is pleased to announce the addition of Joey Mancari as the Director of Competition for the series. Mancari will be responsible for all aspects of competition and will oversee inspection of the cars and event officiating.
Mancari joins GRC after ten years with NASCAR where he had served as the Series Director for the NASCAR K&N Pro Series. GRC CEO Colin Dyne commented, "We are glad to have Joey joining GRC, his addition to our team underscores our commitment to providing the best competition possible for our drivers, teams, manufacturers and fans by bringing on board seasoned professionals."
Mancari has nearly three decades of experience in the industry, beginning as the track services coordinator at Las Vegas International Speedrome. He went on to work at Las Vegas Speedway Park as director of competition and eventually at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, where he served as Director of Operations/Facilities Manager and other capacities. "The opportunity to work in this type of racing is something that always intrigued me." Mancari said, "I am looking forward to helping build on the success and momentum that GRC had in 2012."
