Grass Valley Elks to Start H.O.P.E. in Nevada County (Helping Other People Eat)
CHICAGO, Jan. 25 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- With some help from the Elks National Foundation, the charitable arm of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, the Grass Valley Elks will continue to supply healthy snacks to children in Nevada County schools. They will also expand their work with food banks to provide food for families and seniors, and provide emergency food supplies to the community.
H.O.P.E. in Nevada County (Helping Other People Eat) will be funded by an Impact Grant awarded to the Grass Valley Elks by the Elks National Foundation. Impact Grants are the newest addition to the Elks National Foundation's Community Investments Program. They are competitive grants designed to help Elks make a difference in their community. This year, Grass Valley Elks Lodge No. 538 is one of 49 recipients nationwide to receive an Impact Grant. The grants range from $2,500 to $10,000.
