Grasp Technologies, Inc. Announces Strategic Partnership with US Foods and GDSX
SAN DIEGO, July 16, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Grasp Technologies has entered into a strategic initiative to provide innovative travel management reporting to US Foods in connection with their implementation of GDSX's TripLink™ product. The project is slated to go live in August of this year.
As previously announced, GDSX designed TripLink to solve the growing challenge of capturing travel data and managing real-time customer-service processes for trips purchased outside of a corporation's standard booking channels. TripLink enables Travel Management Companies (TMCs) and Corporate Travel Departments (CTDs) to actively support travelers during a trip with itinerary changes and on-the-road problems, regardless of where trips are booked, while ensuring the integrity of a corporation's duty-of-care programs to locate travelers in case of emergency.
Travel Manager Jennifer Steinke of US Foods, who is slated to manage the first corporate beta test of TripLink at US Foods, realized that new reporting solutions and capabilities would be necessary to accommodate the wider variety of data managed by TripLink. "We knew that additional reporting capabilities would be necessary to gain actionable insights from all this aggregated information, and I am convinced that Grasp is the right supplier to realize that new vision," said Ms. Steinke. "Our plan is to combine the capabilities of GDSX and Grasp to reach the 'Holy Grail' of trip-centric reporting."
