Antler Hill Village bridges the estate's present and past, providing a relaxing place to experience Biltmore's hospitality. The village is open to guests as part of daily admission to the estate.
As part of opening day, a rare 1913 Stevens-Duryea Model "C-Six" touring car that once belonged to Biltmore's founder, George Vanderbilt, and his wife, Edith, will go on display in the Winery. This particular Stevens-Duryea model is believed to be one of only 10 existing in the world today.
Special entertainment throughout the village will include live jazz and bluegrass music, storytellers, roving jugglers, a caricature artist, and Segway and fly fish casting demonstrations. A Fireworks Display starts at 9 p.m. on May 20.
Antler Hill Farm will be a lively spot with live old-time music, hand-cranked ice cream demonstrations, arts and crafts for children, woodworking and blacksmithing demonstrations, and free wagon rides.
The Winery celebrates 25 years with special activities including a Grape Stomp, complimentary wine tastings, party planning exhibits and specialty wine and food experiences.
New tours at Biltmore House
Also on May 20, Biltmore House staff will introduce new guest experiences – including the Friends & Family Tour – that reveal more about the lives of people who lived, worked and visited the house during George Vanderbilt's day. Displays of vintage clothing, with storytelling elements and vintage props, will portray what it was like to live in or visit Biltmore House.
