Grand Opening of National Museum of American History's Innovation Wing
WASHINGTON, June 29, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Grand Opening of the museum's Innovation Wing: The media can preview two exhibitions, "Inventing in America" and "The Value of Money" before the public opening, which will feature special activities, demonstrations and music.

The museum will open its Innovation Wing July 1. The 45,000-square-foot space features 12 exhibitions, learning galleries and program places all centered on the themes of invention, creativity and business.
The media can preview two exhibitions, and then the museum will invite the public to celebrate America's innovative spirit with a variety of activities and performances. Photo opportunities include visitors sporting red, white and blue "inventor beanies;" Lego master builders helping construct the world's largest American flag out of the building bricks; a ribbon cutting; jazz and hip-hop music; and debut of programs on the performance stage.
The museum is open for summer hours until 7:30 p.m., except July 4 when it will close at 5:30 p.m.
