Grand Opening for Korea Promotion Conference of the 17th China Hi-tech Fair
SEOUL, South Korea, May 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- On May 27, 2015, the Korea Promotion Conference of the 17th China Hi-tech Fair was held ceremoniously in the Seoul COEX Convention and Exhibition Centre. Representatives of the Korea International Trade Association, Korean partners of the China Hi-tech Fair, representatives of Korean exhibitions and exhibitors attended this promotion conference.
During the conference, Mr. Li Yuliang, the general manager of Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Centre, mentioned to the guests and media reporters that the China Hi-tech Fair is being co-hosted by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Agriculture, the State Intellectual Property Office, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Engineering, as well as the Shenzhen Municipal Government. It is the largest and most influential technology exhibition in China. Since the first edition of the fair was held in 1999, the China Hi-tech Fair has received strong support from all levels of the Chinese government.
From 16 November to 21 November, 2015, the 17th China Hi-tech Fair will be held in Shenzhen as scheduled. This China Hi-tech Fair sets "innovative establishment of business and cross-border integration" as the theme. Its total exhibiting area is over 110,000 square meters, with arrangements for exhibitions, conferences and forums, high-tech talent and intelligence meetings of exchange, unclosed fairs, etc. There are six professional exhibition areas in the China Hi-tech Fair, including information technology and product exhibition ("IT exhibition" for short), energy conservation and environment protection exhibition, new energy exhibition, electron exhibition, photoelectric display touch exhibition and smart city exhibition.
Meanwhile, Mr. Li Yuliang also expressed that Korean enterprises were the overseas exhibitors in the IT exhibition of China Hi-tech Fair. Since 2001, the organization of Korea Intelligence Technology Research Institute (KITRI) subordinated of the Korean Ministry of Knowledge Economy has organized Korean enterprises to participate in the China Hi-tech Fair for 13 years. In 2014, nearly one hundred enterprises participated in the exhibition, such as the Samsung Electro-Mechanics, the Saejong Automation, and the Rock. The net area of exhibition is up to 1,000 square meters. Korean Daejeon government pavilion, Inchon pavilion, Kwangyang pavilion, Kwangju pavilion, NEXNINE, and Gumi pavilion (GUMI) all participated in the exhibition in group.
Shenzhen has always been one of the cities that Korean enterprises prefer to invest in. By the end of April 2015, there were 615 Korean investment projects in Shenzhen. Among them, Samsung, SK Group, Hyundai Heavy Industries, Kumho Electric and other transnational enterprises all invested in Shenzhen. Shenzhen has beautiful scenery, is appropriate for living and industry, and its internationalized metropolitan customs has also attracted more and more Korean people. Currently around 30,000 Korean people have settled in Shenzhen.
