Grand Opening Celebration Receives Community Interest at Mathnasium of Cherry Hill

CHERRY HILL, N.J., Feb. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Mathnasium, the children's year-round learning center specializing in math skills, announces a successful Grand Opening event with a high level of community interest. Cherry Hill Daisy Troop 30289 led by Diane McMullen led the attending children, parents, and business people in the Pledge of Allegiance. The group then adjourned for a series of math-based games organized by Mathnasium staff, with refreshments from near-by Chef's Kitchen served for all.

"The ribbon-cutting ceremony was really special for the kids," stated Diane McMullen. "I was really surprised, as well, that the kids absolutely loved the games. It was like a party. We couldn't get the kids to leave."

Diane further stated that she will inform other scout troop leaders of the Mathnasium facility.

"We were excited that the kids and parents attending the event got a real feel for how learning math can be fun," explained Bryan Cooke, Owner of Mathnasium of Cherry Hill. "We're inviting more scout troops to attend, and we'd like to work with scout leaders to define a program for earning a badge by attending our facility. There are endless possibilities for making math more accessible to children in the community."

The Grand Opening festivities continue this week at Mathnasium, with structured games and events being held on Saturday, Feb. 27 from 11-1pm and again on Sunday, Feb. 28 from 1-3pm. Children of all ages are encouraged to come join the fun. Event activities will conclude on Sunday afternoon, with a Grand Prize drawing for a Wii system and iPod shuffle.

Interested scout leaders, parents, and teachers can also attend a free 30-min seminar to learn more about the Mathnasium facility and the child-friendly activities offered. The seminars will be hosted at Mathnasium starting at 7pm on Tuesday and Thursday nights. Interested parties should call ahead to reserve their spot.
