Known as 'The Voice of Christian Music', Patty's last Lexington visit brought a near capacity crowd to Rupp Arena. "Throughout the years it has been nice to perform in arenas, but I always love coming back to the church. There is something intimate, sweet, and personal and that is my favorite place to do an inspirational concert. Always will be," states Patty.
Sandi Patty spent most of her adult life just north of the Commonwealth in Anderson, Indiana, where she raised her eight children. Now residing in Oklahoma City, OK; Patty appreciates the opportunity to perform near her home. "Lexington really does feel like a home away from home. My parents and many of my children, including my precious newborn grandbaby, live up the road in Indiana so to have the opportunity to travel and sing near my family is always special."
Patty's thirty-plus year career remains strong. Her latest studio project, Everlasting, released on September 3rd as a Target stores exclusive project enters the market as the top selling new release by Lifescapes. "I loved the opportunity to do this project. Everlasting is a collection of well-known hymns of years gone by along with amazing worship songs that will be part of the church fabric for years to come."
The concert will be held on Thursday, November 07 beginning at 7:00 PM at Immanuel Baptist Church (3100 Tates Creek Road, Lexington, KY) where residents from near and far are invited to enjoy an evening of music with the most decorated Christian Music artist of all time.
"The response from the greater Lexington area has been tremendous. They will not be disappointed as they reminisce with many of Sandi's classics and celebrate with some of her newer songs. Sandi will be joined by the amazing worship choir at Immanuel Baptist Church led by Bo Warren. This will be an evening of praise, worship, inspiration and laughter – all through music. I am so grateful for the opportunity to bring Sandi Patty back to Lexington," states Mike Swift of Narrow Gate Productions.
"I'm thankful for every opportunity I have to share my faith through word and music," says Patty. "It's been way too long since my last visit to Lexington and we have plenty of catching up to do. I hope you will join us."
