Clubhouse Festival To Be The Biggest Tailgate Party In Maryland
LAUREL, Md., Sept. 21, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The Stronach Group, owners of Laurel Park, announced today the addition of Grammy-nominated rapper, Tyga, as well as platinum-selling artist Rich The Kid, platinum-selling Dutch DJ Sam Feldt, and rising electronic duo from the DMV, Bonnie X Clyde, to the Clubhouse Festival that will take place at the Maryland Million race day on Saturday, October 20, 2018.
The Clubhouse Festival, presented in partnership with Club Glow, the longest running electronic dance music promotion company in D.C., will feature a stellar line up including, Grammy nominated headliner Deadmau5, Grammy nominated DJ Steve Aoki, Grammy nominated Tyga and a host of other top tier Maryland and D.C. region talent.
The Clubhouse Festival will kick off with the biggest collegiate tailgate party in the region presented by Top Tier, one of the premier collegiate, nightlife, promotion, and marketing companies in the country. It will include the Clubhouse Greek Row, featuring pop-up "Frat Houses" where the local fraternity and sorority community will be able to enjoy their weekly game day rituals – only this time at a Thoroughbred horse race. The tailgate will feature wagering, lawn games, meet & greets, special prizes, and an atmosphere like no other, designed to introduce a new generation of fans to Thoroughbred horse racing.
The tailgate line-up will feature Rich The Kid, the platinum-selling rapper best known for his singles "New Freezer" and "Plug Walk", Platinum-selling Dutch DJ Sam Feldt, best known for his track "Show Me Love", Lost Kings, the homegrown DJ duo who earned global recognition for their official remixes and performances at Ultra Music Festival and Electric Daisy Carnival. Rounding out the tailgate line-up will be Bonnie X Clyde, the rising electronic dance duo who hail from the DMV, and Wifisfuneral, the new Interscope signee and XXL Freshman best known for his breakthrough mixtapes, "Black Heart Revenge" and "When Hell Falls".
Named for its position around the first turn at historic Laurel Park, the Clubhouse Festival will offer 10,000 guests the only live racing and music festival event in the region to occur during the collegiate school year, where fans will get to enjoy both a trackside view of the races and the show.
Club Glow owners and operators of Echostage, voted #1 Club in the United States, will be hosting the Echostage VIP area, featuring an elevated viewing platform, bottle service and private restroom facilities, giving fans an option for a superior festival experience. The Maryland Million is a one-day stakes card offering purses totalling $1 million USD and is restricted to the progeny of nominated stallions standing in the state.
