Graffiti Artists Team Up With truth To Create Change And End Smoking
'finishers' sound off - for the chance to collect personalized graffiti art
WASHINGTON, June 11, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- On June 16 and 17, truth® will host an art event with New York graffiti artist Faust broadcast via Periscope. An innovative and influential graffiti artist with a nationwide profile, Faust will be joined by L.A.-based artists Kidwiseman and Miser to create customized graffiti tags for selected participants in truth's Finish It campaign. Each artist will personalize the Twitter handles of followers of @truthorange, the handle for the truth campaign, as a way to inspire this generation to end smoking for good.
"Graffiti is a democratic artform, where everybody has a voice. Historically graffiti had a negative connotation, but today we embrace how sharing a powerful message can provoke thought, inspire change, and potentially even save lives," said Faust.
On June 16 and 17 truth followers can use the hashtags #RollCall and #PickMe on Twitter to be entered to receive a virtual personalized Twitter-handle signature. Periscope will capture Faust at work as he creates the custom graffiti tags. The Periscope stream link will be available each morning via @truthorange. The custom tags will be shared via @truthorange for the lucky "finishers".
Through the Finish It campaign, truth is arming everyone – smokers and non-smokers – with the tools to make change.
