Gracelyn A. Guyol is recognized by Continental Who's Who as a Pinnacle Professional
STONINGTON, Conn., Nov. 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Gracelyn A. Guyol is recognized by Continental Who's Who as a Pinnacle Professional, entrepreneur and writer. She is a self-employed Author, Publisher, and TV Producer.
After selling her public relations agency in 1992, the fear of cancer motivated Gracelyn to seek personal healing and, as a result, become an expert on restoring mental health holistically.
In 1993, Gracelyn was diagnosed as bipolar II and placed on an antidepressant. Within a year, rapid breast cyst and tumor growth brought surgery twice in 12 months. Frightened, she "devoured" health books and began working with a Naturopathic Doctor, overhauling her diet, taking natural supplements to optimize cellular functioning, and avoiding chemicals that might cause cells to mutate.
Finally suspecting the antidepressant, Gracelyn tapered off. Within two months, her latest tumor disappeared. Refusing all psychiatric drugs, she began a search for the causes of her bipolar symptoms. A holistic clinic tested her for four inherited "errors" known to contribute to mental illnesses since the 1970s. She had two. By taking specific natural supplements for the errors, her bipolar symptoms ended in 2002.
Gracelyn's first book, Healing Depression & Bipolar Disorder Without Drugs, led to delivering 7-hour accredited seminars to medical practitioners across the nation. Passionate about raising awareness of alternative medical options, in 2010 she authored Who's Crazy Here? A new book, Saving Your Mind Holistically, is underway.
Since 2012, Gracelyn has produced forty 55-minute cable television shows in a continuing series, "Restoring Health Holistically." She was also appointed to serve on the State of Connecticut Children's Mental Health Task Force.
Recognized by the National Association of Professional Women as a VIP Woman of the Year, Gracelyn enjoys organic gardening, reading and tennis. An ardent environmentalist, she founded and was President of CUSH – Clean Up Sound and Harbors. At Andrews University, she studied English and Business.
