GPI Promotes Moreno, Woodard to Global Roles
Table Games Leader Integrates Worldwide Operations and Sales Efforts
LAS VEGAS, Oct. 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Gaming Partners International Corporation (Nasdaq: GPIC), a leading provider of casino currency and table game equipment worldwide, promoted Francisco Moreno to Vice President of Global Operations of GPI. Moreno was formerly General Manager of GPI Mexico. The company also promoted Justin Woodard to Vice President of Global Sales. Woodard had previously held the position of Director of Sales and Business Development for the Americas.
Both non-officer promotions are an effort toward more seamless integration of the three companies that merged to form GPI (Bourgogne et Grasset®, The Bud Jones Company® and Paul-Son® Gaming Supplies). New global management is engineered to expand GPI's worldwide footprint, while simultaneously opening up delivery channels for GPI's complete suite of products to customers around the world.
Moreno first joined the company in 1986. He was instrumental in the opening of a new manufacturing plant in San Luis Rio Colorado, Mexico, a move that enabled GPI to meet increased production demands of U.S.-based casinos. As Vice President of Global Operations, Moreno will drive production operations worldwide with strategy designed to further the objectives set forth by the company's President and Board of Directors.
"Over the past two decades and more, Mr. Moreno has demonstrated the unique ability to increase productivity while ensuring efficiencies at all levels of production and maintaining the highest level of quality," said Greg Gronau, President and Chief Executive Officer. "We're excited to see his talents put to work on a global scale."
Justin Woodard was hired by the company in 2004 as Area Sales Manager. Woodard brought with him extensive experience as a national sales consultant within the pharmaceuticals industry – experience he leveraged toward a promotion to Director of Sales and Business Development for the Americas. As Director, Woodard led a number of new market openings, including the recent expansion of table gaming on the east coast. As Vice President of Global Sales, Woodard will oversee GPI's sales efforts worldwide.
"Mr. Woodard distinguishes himself as a gaming sales professional who also operates as a consultant with his customers," said Gronau. "With his larger role within the organization, we'll now be able to capitalize on his strong relationships worldwide to expand our presence and product reach throughout a greater number of jurisdictions."
