HARRISBURG, Pa., Jan. 25, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Governor Tom Wolf has signed an Executive Order extending today's deadline for candidate filings in three upcoming special elections.
The executive order extends the deadline for political parties to file nomination certificates and for political bodies to file nomination papers for the March 15 Special Elections in the 57th, 192nd and 200th Legislative Districts.
The deadline has been extended by 24 hours for each business day that the Secretary of the Commonwealth's office is closed. The order specifies the deadline will not be extended beyond 5 p.m. Wednesday, January 27th.
