Governor Tim Kaine, Chairman of the Democratic National Committee, to Address the National Press Club
WASHINGTON, March 26 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Governor Tim Kaine, chairman of the Democratic National Committee, will discuss his party's prospects in the 2010 elections, including how Democrats will talk to voters about the party's differences over priorities with Republicans, at a National Press Club Luncheon on Wednesday, May 19.

In the aftermath of Congress' passage of health care reform legislation, Kaine said the victory would be good for the country and for Democrats in the November elections.
Kaine became chairman of the DNC on January 21, 2009. He was national campaign co-chair for President Barack Obama, who he endorsed early on in the nominating process.
Kaine served as the 70th Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia from January 2006 until January 2010.
While he was governor, Democrats in Virginia regained two US Senate seats, a majority of Virginia's congressional delegation and control of the state Senate.
The National Press Club luncheon will begin promptly at 12:30 p.m. and Kaine's remarks will begin at 1:00, followed by a question-and-answer session.
