CONCORD, N.H., Jan. 16, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- New Hampshire families will be celebrating National School Week at more than 100 events, and Gov. Sununu has shown his support for the celebrations by issuing a proclamation declaring Jan. 20-26 New Hampshire School Choice Week.
Sununu is one of more than a dozen governors and hundreds of city and county leaders nationwide who have issued proclamations in support of school choice.
Parents, schools, and other organizers have planned 134 events and activities across the state of New Hampshire to shine a positive light on educational opportunity and raise awareness about the choices parents have, or want to have for their children. The events include rallies, roundtable discussions, festivals, school fairs, and more.
More than 40,000 events have been independently planned for the week nationwide, raising awareness about opportunity in education.
"New Hampshire parents are showing how much they value education options, and we're grateful to Gov. Sununu for supporting them in that," said Andrew Campanella, president of National School Choice Week. "We hope every family can find the best educational fit for their children and we wish New Hampshirites the best in their National School Choice Week celebrations."
As a nonpartisan, nonpolitical public awareness effort, National School Choice Week shines a positive spotlight on effective education options for students, families, and communities around the country. From January 20 through 26, 2019, more than 40,000 independently-planned events will be held in celebration of the Week. For more information, visit www.schoolchoiceweek.com.
