Governor Rendell Nominates William K. Lieberman to the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission
HARRISBURG, Pa., May 6 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Governor Edward G. Rendell today nominated William K. Lieberman of Pittsburgh to a four-year term as a member of the five-person Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission. The nomination is subject to Senate confirmation.
Lieberman has been President of The Lieberman Companies since 2003 and has a strong background in insurance and pension-related issues.
Lieberman serves on the boards of AMPCO Pittsburgh, Genco Distribution System and Hussey Copper, Ltd. He is active in the community, serving as a trustee for the University of Pittsburgh and as a member of the Shady Side Academy's board of directors.
Upon Senate confirmation, Lieberman will fill the vacancy that resulted from Timothy Carson's resignation from the Turnpike Commission in early February.
