Governor Murphy Proclaims Jan. 20-26 "New Jersey School Choice Week"; Joins Leaders Nationwide in Celebrating Opportunity in Education

TRENTON, N.J., Jan. 16, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Thanks to a proclamation by Gov. Murphy, Jan. 20-26 has been officially declared New Jersey School Choice Week. Gov. Murphy's proclamation unites him with more than a dozen governors and hundreds of city and county leaders nationwide who have issued similar proclamations.

Parents, schools, and other organizers have planned 878 events and activities across the state of New Jersey to spark conversations about the educational opportunities parents want for their children. Events and activities include rallies, roundtable discussions, coffeehouse meet-ups, festivals, school fairs, and more.

More than 40,000 events have been independently planned for the week nationwide, raising awareness about opportunity in education.
